Tom Joules actually started the business 30 years ago selling country clobber at equestrian and outdoor events all over Britain. One typical rainy afternoon, Tom realised that the clothing on offer didnβt reflect his customerβs colourful personalities. So he designed 100 pairs of PINK wellies. They sold like hotcakes and Joules was born. I mean, you canβt get much more English than that.
With this curiously eccentric history behind them, I ventured online to see how that eclectic country vibe translated into their new homewares range.
I was pleasantly surprised that it translates quite nicely with the same fun, bright vibe that makes you want to buy a dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere to fill with gorgeous flowers you picked from the meadow outside your back garden gate.
